Rostelecom CEO: Operators should mind traffic exchange point risk
MOSCOW, May 18 (PRIME) -- Russian operators should keep in mind possible disconnection from international traffic exchange points all the time, telecom and digital company Rostelecom President Mikhail Oseyevsky said on Wednesday at a forum.
“Probably, the first wave of worries has already passed. Some weak links, our international partners have gone, others came to their places, but we should remember about this risk all the time,” Oseyevsky when asked about a possible cutting of the country’s connection operators off international traffic exchange points.
Oseyevsky said that the data processing center market is growing actively in the country, and firms had to go to major players, like Rostelecom, amid restrictions of purchases of servers, and new logistics chains appear.
